Abstrak

An organization, leadership factor plays an important role because it is leaders who will move and direct the organization in achieving its goals and at the same time an easy task. Compensation is one of the most important functions in human resource management (MSDM). Because compensation is one of the most sensitive aspects of working relationships. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of leadership style and compensation both simultaneously and partially to the performance of contract employee at Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Kabupaten Lumajang. This study was conducted on 35 contract employees at the Regional Personnel Agency of Lumajang Regency using multiple linear regression analysis. The result showed that leadership style had partial effect on the performance of contract employees at the Regional Personnel Board of Lumajang Regency. While simultaneously the style of leadership and compensation affect the performance of contract employees at the Regional Personnel Agency Lumajang. With coefficient of determination equal to 52.1% employee performance can be explained by independent variable that is leadership style and compensation while the rest is 47,9% employee performance influenced by other variables not examined in this research.
