Indonesia is one of the world's largest coal producers and exporters due to its abundant coal resources. Coal is one of Indonesia's major export commodities. Given these opportunities, companies must focus on financial issues critical to their survival, particularly concerning the sources and uses of funds. More efficient use and management of funds lead to better company conditions in generating profits. Financial issues
are always linked to financial performance. This study aims to determine the influence of the Current Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio on Return On Assets in coal sub-sector mining companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange for the period 20202022. This research employs quantitative methods. The population consists of coal sub-sector mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020-2022 period. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, with a total sample size of 22 companies. The analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression. Partial testing, or the t-test, yielded the following results: the Current Ratio affects Return On Assets, while the Debt to Equity Ratio does not affect Return On Assets in coal sub-sector mining companies for the period 2020-2022.
