Mampukah meningkatkan kinerja di PT. Telkom Lumajang tanpa adanya motivasi?

Abstract

Motivation was very important problem in a company because it could improve the employee performance. Management's ability to provide motivation was determine success or failure in ignoring corporate goals. Realizing the importance of motivation in efforts to increased employee productivity, PT. Telkom Lumajang tried to implement the program. But according to observations found several problems regarding the performance of employees at PT. Telkom Lumajang which is considered not yet maximal. Based on this background, the authors were  interested in conducting research on the effect of work motivation on employee performance at PT. Telkom Lumajang. To analyzed the independent variables on the dependent variable, then in this studied using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. In this studied sampling using saturated sampling techniques with a total sample of 61 people. The method of data collection is done through observation, interviews and questionnaires using a Likert scale. The results of the determination coefficient test on the R square value of 0.438 or 43.8%. it means that internal motivation and external motivation affect employee performance by 43.8% while the rest is indicated by an estimated error value of 56.3% influenced by other variables not discussed in this study.
