Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of financial performance measured using financial ratios seen from Return On Assets (ROA), and capital structure calculated using the ratio of debt to equity ratio (DER), on stock returns in manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sector that is registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling method, and obtained 11 manufacturing companies used as samples. Secondary data sources in this study came from the IDX. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear analysis. Based on the partial results show that financial performance as measured by the ratio of return on assets has a significant effect on stock returns. And the capital structure measured using the debt to equity ratio has a significant effect on stock returns.
