Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability and liquidity on dividend policy. This research was conducted at manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector which were listed on the Indonesia stock exchange in the 2016-2018 period. Data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression analysis. In this study using purposive sampling technique to get samples in accordance with predetermined criteria. The number of companies based on criteria in this study was 24 companies. This study uses the T test and F test to test the coefficient values of variables in a persial and simultaneous manner with a significant level of 5%. In addition, research must meet the classical assumption test, namely the normality test, the autocorrelation test, the multicollinearity test, and the heteroscedasticity test. Based on the results of the t test (persial) shows that profitability and liquidity significantly influence the divide policy. While the results of the F test (simultaneous) show that there is a significant influence on profitability, liquidity can simultaneously influence dividend policy. The researcher suggests that further research extend the study period so that the influence of the independent variables can be seen for a longer period of time.
