Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of net income, debt and liquidity on dividend policy in consumer goods industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research method used is quantitative descriptive method. The sampling technique was carried out using the purposive sampling method and obtained a sample of 18 consumer goods industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2016-2018 period. Analysis of the data used in this study is multiple linear regression. The results showed that the net income and liquidity variables did not significantly influence dividend policy. However, the debt variable has a significant effect on dividend policy. R square value shows 21.3% dividend policy can be influenced by the variable net income, debt and liquidity while the remaining 78.7% is influenced by other variables not included in the study.
