Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of capital structure, company growth, company size, and profitability on firm value. The dependent variable in this study is firm value. While the independent variables are capital structure, company growth, company size, and profitability. The population in this study is a consumer goods manufacturing sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2015-2017. Samples are determined based on purposive sampling method, with predetermined criteria, so as to obtain a sample of 25 companies. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of annual reports and financial statements of manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2017 audited period. This type of research is quantitative research. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS tools (Statistical Product an Service Solution).The results of this study indicate that company growth, company size, and profitability have a positive effect on firm value. Whereas the capital structure has a negative effect on the value of the company in the consumer goods manufacturing sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2017.
